20% Project Reflection:
In science class, grades 6-8th grade we did and project called the 20% project. This is were we got to choose a project about anything and is had to realte to Adventure in some way. We didn't get graded on it we just needed to turn it in and present a breif summary. The reason it was called 20% Project was because it took 20% of our time not our grades. I believe we started way back in September and ended it sometime in Janurary.
For my project I did the topic of bullying. I researched online about bullying and then put my information into a essay/book. I found websites that I knew I could rely on. Like I wouldn't click on yahoo answers or wikiapedia. It got would make sure that they were published websites. There were different students who got a lot more creative and I mean a lot ,but I wanted to pick something that I knew I was gonna finish yet still keep me intrested through the months that we worked on it.
I really liked how we got to work by ourselves with no real help from the teacher on the Wednesdays that we worked on the project. At the same, I kind of disliked it because I felt when I was working on it I had no path or an outline. Like I didn't know if I was doing anything correctly. I mean I really liked we were told the directions and then we off by ourselves doing our own projects. In all honesty I love having people to talk to about the project and get help if I don't understand something.
In conclusion, I really enjoyed this project and thought it was fun to try out. Too bad I'll be going into high school next and I won't be able to do projects like this. I think this project was good for everyone to see what they could do by themselves and see who is responsible with their work. In the end, I learned a lot of sutff about bullying and how to teach my self in a way.
