                                                               The Gettysburg Address Reflection:

For this project, my class did plays or had to memorize the Gettysburg Address. I chose to memorize the Gettysburg Address. At first, from just looking at it I thought it would be easy to learn and then say.  After reading it a couple times it seemed to me that I wouldn't be able to read it all.  I remembered most of it. I had practiced it every day until we had to say in front of Adventure and a Herman class. And we had to dess up as Abraham Lincoln. You could day I kind of did that. I didn't have large black blazers and a huge top hat.

In all honesty ,I was really nervous becasue I had to say by myself. Until my friend Mercedes had an idea of saying it together with another classmate who was doing it as well.  So that took a lot of pressure off and I had to remember only half the lines. This was a fun project because I never really did plays for a grade. I would love to do other stuff like this for future prjects ,but it is the end of the year now.  This was a really cool way to be able to learn about slavery and how Abraham Lincoln helped wiht slavery. By his speeches and certain acts and laws that he made to set slaves free. Somthing that I wihs would have happened is mor time practicing on the "stage" that we were doing the speeches and plays on.

In conclusion, I enjoyed myself learning the Gettysburg Address and presenting it. I thouhgt it was fun for and maybe the whole class. I think that my friends and I did a pretty good job learning our lines by the deadline. Even though some of us sutterede or missed a couple words, I think all in all we worked to get our good grade.
